DeadNote Weekend Release Desk – March 15, 2026

A quick collection of release announcements that landed in my inbox this week—a mix of new singles, new videos, tour announcements, and album news worth keeping an eye on. No hype, no rankings—just the core details and where to start.

GRAILKNIGHTS release power metal cover of ABBA’s “Super Trouper”
German metal heroes GRAILKNIGHTS released a surprise cover of ABBA’s “Super Trouper,” reworking the classic into a bright, oversized power metal track packed with galloping rhythm, big hooks, and the band’s usual superhero camp. It arrives as a bonus-track follow-up to last year’s Forever and fits neatly with their mix of humour, theatrics, and full-tilt melodic metal.

ERDVE announce new album Epigrama
Lithuanian experimental metal band ERDVE announced their third full-length, Epigrama, due May 29, 2026, via Season of Mist. Framed around entropy, regret, grief, and the slow damage left behind by unresolved choices, the album looks positioned as a more deliberate and conceptually focused step forward for the band.

IMPURE WILHELMINA share “Électricité noire” from Le sanglot
Swiss post-metal and alternative rock band IMPURE WILHELMINA released “Électricité noire,” the first single from Le sanglot, due May 22, 2026. The track moves from haunted restraint into something heavier and more open, treating rock music itself as a vessel for anger, sorrow, and release. It also marks the beginning of an album built around emotional fracture, bleak observation, and moments of grace.

RESTLESS SPIRIT release “Red in Tooth and Claw” video
Long Island heavy metal trio RESTLESS SPIRIT released the video for “Red in Tooth and Claw,” the latest preview of their self-titled album, due May 8, 2026, via Magnetic Eye Records. The band describes it as one of their more direct songs—groove-driven, lean, and centred on questions of cruelty, violence, and individual responsibility. It sounds like another push toward a sharper, stripped-down version of their sound.

The Divine Project continue their Rebirth push with “Revolt” and March Ontario dates
Greater Toronto Area metal band The Divine Project are continuing the rollout for their November 2025 EP Rebirth with the video for “Revolt” and a short March run with Selias. The band describe the EP as a reset—faster, heavier, and more complex than their earlier work—with “Revolt” acting as both anthemic opener and critique of self-justifying power structures.

CREMATORY announce Greatest Hits retrospective and share “Born”
German gothic metal veterans CREMATORY announced Greatest Hits, due May 15, 2026, through ROAR. The release marks 35 years of the band’s catalogue and will collect material across a large three-CD edition split between “English Hymns,” “Deutsche Hymnen,” and older demo material. Alongside the announcement, the band released “Born,” a track built around alienation, endurance, and the feeling of being out of step with the world around you.

EIHWAR open the gates to Hugrheim
EIHWAR released the full album stream for Hugrheim, out now via Season of Mist. The record continues the duo’s mix of Nordic folk instrumentation, ritual percussion, industrial pulse, and mythic storytelling, this time centred on the hidden tenth world of Yggdrasil in their growing fantasy framework. Along with the album, the band also confirmed an extensive European headline run under the banner Pagan Folk Nights.

If something here sticks, chances are it’ll resurface later—either as a longer feature or when the release cycle really kicks in.
